Give us your views on how to improve SEND support

Give us your views on how to improve SEND support

Tell us about your experience of SEND support in education and how we can improve it

What the survey is about

This engagement survey is the first step in establishing how things may need to change. There will be consultations launched in early 2019.
We’re developing a new plan to improve:

  • top up funding
  • access to alternative learning provision and early intervention bases (EIB)
  • the Bristol Hospital Education Service
  • services for families and individuals with SEND and those with the highest level of support needs to, such as sensory support and autism

We want to know:

  • what your views are about the four areas
  • what’s working well
  • your ideas for improving these areas of the service

How your views will help

Earlier in 2018, we committed to developing a new long term plan to improve the experiences of children and young people with SEND and high needs in the city.

Your views will help us put together formal consultations, which start in early 2019.

We want to involve parents, carers and people with SEND in this process as early as possible.

Take the survey

We launched this survey on the four areas on 30 November 2018. It ends on 13 January 2019.

We’ll publish the results shortly after this and then we’ll consult further. We’ll be listening to all views and making sure they are central to this process and any changes we make.
