Foster Care Fortnight 14 to 27 May 2018

Foster Care Fortnight is the UK’s biggest foster care awareness raising campaign, delivered by leading fostering charity, The Fostering Network.

Running for almost 20 years, the campaign showcases the commitment, passion and dedication of foster carers.

Local authorities across the country will be holding events and raising awareness during the fortnight to encourage more people to come forward and consider fostering.

Bristol has around 700 children in care and we are always in need of more foster carers.

There are a number of ways in which you, the public, can help during the fortnight.

  • Like our Facebook page and Twitter feed. Share posts and events to your connections.
  • Use the national hashtag #Proudtosupportfostering or #FCF18
  • Pledge your support to fostering by taking an image of your or your families hands and upload to social media using hashtag #theirfutureourhands. Be as creative as you like!
  • You can also download a placard from Fostering Network to upload a picture of yourself holding it on social media
