We work to prevent homelessness through early intervention, helping people stay in their homes or move to sustainable housing. Where homelessness cannot be prevented, we work with individuals and households to identify suitable housing pathways and accommodation options, with a focus on the private rental sector.
We also provide emergency and temporary accommodation where applicable, together with financial and welfare support and personalised guidance.

Across Housing Options, a range of specialist teams work together to support people facing a housing emergency, from preventing homelessness through early intervention to providing emergency and temporary accommodation, welfare and money advice, and support with accessing the private rented sector.
Each team plays a vital part in helping people move from crisis to stability.
