Run Bristol

Novice or serious runner?

You are invited to Run Bristol in 2009!

Throughout the year there will be opportunities for runners to train and prepare for two great races organised by the city council.

Bristol 10k - Sunday 10 May 2009

First launched in 2008 this event attracted 5000 runners and is expected to double in popularity in 2009. The race route is similar to the Bristol Half Marathon course, along car free roads, starting from At-Bristol and following the Harbourside and Avon Gorge. It is a great opportunity for new runners to experience a short version of the half marathon course before signing up for the longer race.

Entry to the Bristol 10km race is easy by simply logging onto the official race website where full race details, advice, training schedules and entry details are available.

Bristol Mile Races - Saturday 5 September 2009

For further information, please see the official race website.

Reebok Bristol Half Marathon - Sunday 6 September 2009

The Bristol Half Marathon this year celebrates its 21st birthday and will take place on Sunday 6 September. Entries will open in the Spring of 2009 so runners interested in signing up for the half marathon can do so on-line at the official race website. Over 16,000 runners signed up last year and runners of all abilities are invited to take part in 2009. Those wishing to take part are advised to get their entry in fast to avoid being turned away as this popular event fills quickly.

For full official information on the Bristol Half Marathon please check the official race website at www.bristolhalfmarathon.com at regular intervals.
