Salary

Your salary will start from £34,834 up to £43,421 depending on your level of experience. Salaries increase by set increments on a yearly basis within your grade structure.

Local Government Pension Scheme

All employees are automatically admitted to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) from the day of appointment, with generous employer contributions. 

Generous annual leave

You'll receive 25 days annual leave per annum, rising to 30 days after 5 years' service (continuous local government service will be applied where appropriate), plus 8 Bank Holiday's per year. There is also the opportunity to buy additional holiday through our ‘Annual Leave Top Up' scheme.

We are one of the few local authorities to keep our offices open during the pandemic to allow our staff to de-brief and support each other.

As well as part time and job share opportunities, we can offer flexibility on your working hours and can discuss what works best for you at interview. For example, some of our Social Workers do a nine-day fortnight.

Relocation

Up to £8,000 is available for relocation if you currently live more than 40 miles from Bristol (subject to meeting the full T&C's of the policy).
