What a Carer's Wellbeing Grant is

A Carer's Wellbeing Grant is a one-off payment of up to £300.

You can use it to pay for things that improve and support your health and wellbeing, to help you continue caring for a child or young person with a disability.

We assess applications individually and the amount you can get depends on the:

  • number of applications we have
  • funds available at the time

Who can apply for a Carer's Wellbeing Grant

A parent or guardian who provides care to a child or young person with a disability can apply for a Carer's Wellbeing Grant.

If you've applied for a grant before

You must wait 12 months from the date of your last grant payment before you can apply again.

If you apply too early, we'll reject your application and you'll need to apply again when 12 months have passed.
