Bristol Carers’ Voice (BCV) reviews changes to local adult services, monitors plans and receives information regarding all aspects of social care and health, bringing forward carer’s views and perspectives.
BCV ensures carers' priorities are kept on the agenda for statutory agencies.
BCV involves carers in a systematic, meaningful way, which suits carers, gives them a real voice and recognises their expertise.
BCV is the primary vehicle for overseeing the implementation of the Bristol Carers' Strategy.
BCV will seek to identify and eliminate barriers for carers from minority communities to enable them to access services whilst ensuring services meet culturally appropriate needs.
