The work of the forum
The Bristol Allotments Forum is an independent organisation for allotment tenants and other registered users of allotments in the city. It discusses allotment issues including rents, land disposals, tenancy agreements, water and security.
It aims to:
- protect and promote the interests of people who use allotments
- influence decision making and policy for the benefit of allotmenteers
- work in partnership with the council to provide efficient and cost effective allotments service benefits for people who join the forum
- send regular newsletters, run quarterly meetings and small working groups
- provide opportunities to work closely with others on matters which affect tenants such as rents, rules, tenancy agreements, water usage, and capital spend on sites
- provide opportunities to share ideas about the future of allotments in the city
