Bristol's Race Equality Data Product
Our Race Equality Data Product 2025 offers a transparent, evidence-based view of how major agencies across the city perform on race equality.
First published in 2017, the Data Product highlights both achievements and challenges in diversifying Bristol's workforce.
It also helps pinpoint areas for improvement and collaboration on solutions that advance racial equity across the city.
Fourth interation of the Data Product
The fourth interation (2025) has a sample size of over 56,000 employees across the city.
This sample represents around 22% of Bristol's economically active population.
It includes information from agencies on:
- ethnicity categorisation processes
- pay band and pay gap data by ethnicity
- recruitment and employment data
- intersectional data across sex and disability status
This data:
- reveals insights into how different ethnic groups experience work in Bristol
- helps identify both progress and persistent challenges
Race equality highlight report and action plan
A highlight report and action plan will be published early 2026.
