We offer an early intervention programme with an SEMH focus, supporting young people to reengage successfully with education before they reach crisis point. By focusing on developing relationships, confidence, self-awareness, communication skills and understanding rights and choices, we enable young people to express their views and feelings, and identify any barriers they face to full and constructive integration in school or college. Our practice is strengths-based and trauma-informed, working in partnership with schools, colleges, families and other agencies to provide holistic wellbeing support.
Our youth workers are trained in trauma-informed practice, wellbeing support and contextual safeguarding, and use creativity as a unique tool to respond to the needs and interests of young people, supporting them to express themselves in a safe, non-judgemental way that allows their voices to be heard.
Our delivery can be flexible to best meet the needs of all stakeholders, and includes:
- 1-2-1 sessions in school, the community, at home, or a combination, typically one hour per week, continuing through the school holidays
- small group sessions in school for up to 10 young people, typically over 16 weeks
- support for groups or individuals with the challenges of transition from one stage or setting to another.
