Sporting Chance Project provides a dynamic and flexible Alternative Learning Provision for children and young people aged 5 to 19 from our workshops in Brislington, Bristol, offering engaging programs tailored to meet individual needs. Designed to support personal development, academic progress, and emotional well-being, our services empower children and young people to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Our workshops include practical, skills-based learning opportunities in construction trades such as carpentry, bricklaying, wallpapering and other trades and also bicycle maintenance and repair. These hands-on activities build confidence, foster teamwork, and develop valuable life skills. New for this year, we proudly offer cooking skills sessions in our purpose-built kitchen, where pupils learn to prepare meals, understand nutrition, and build independence.

In addition to practical workshops, we provide personalised mentoring and educational support designed in partnership with schools or the local authority. These programs aim to re-engage pupils, improve attendance, and enhance their sense of belonging and achievement. Our dedicated mentors, all with Enhanced DBS certification, provide a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth.

Sporting Chance places a strong emphasis on early intervention, regular progress monitoring, and adapting support to meet changing needs. Our holistic approach ensures every pupil is equipped with the tools, skills, and confidence to thrive both academically and personally.
