Services

Alternative Pathways Education is a trauma-informed, part-time Alternative Learning Provision based in Bristol, supporting children and young people who are unable to fully access mainstream education. Led by experienced educational and youth work professionals, we provide personalised learning programmes that place the needs, strengths and aspirations of each young person at the centre of our work.

Our approach is founded on the belief that safe, trusting relationships are the key to engagement, wellbeing and successful learning. We recognise that every young person’s journey is different and work collaboratively with families, schools and professionals to create bespoke packages of support that promote both academic progress and personal development.

We offer a range of services including 1:1 tutoring, therapeutic mentoring, ASDAN qualifications, community-based learning and targeted interventions for children and young people with SEND, SEMH needs, experiences of trauma, school anxiety, exclusion or disrupted education. Our flexible and needs-led provision enables young people to rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships, achieve meaningful qualifications and re-engage with education, training or employment.

By combining high-quality education with trauma-informed practice, Alternative Pathways Education creates safe spaces where young people can feel understood, experience success and discover a positive pathway forward.
