Active Bristol Strategy Engagement Survey
Overview
Bristol City Council, Public Health, has commissioned Wesport, in partnership with Miova and Press Red, to support the development of a new 10 year One City Active Bristol Strategy.
We all want Bristol to be a happy and healthy city where everyone has the opportunity to move more, be physically active, and play sport in ways that reflect the realities of everyday life and what matters to each individual. This is a great chance to make Bristol healthier and fairer for everyone.
When we say “physical activity”, we mean any movement that uses energy. This could be walking to the shops or school, dancing at home, gardening, doing housework, playing sports, going for a jog, kicking a ball, joining an exercise class, or a gentle seated exercise session. We are thinking about being active in lots of different ways.
We want this strategy to take on the big challenges our communities face and what might be making movement hard for people in everyday life.
Why we are engaging
Your answers will help shape a plan for the whole of Bristol. We need your perspectives, ideas, and voices to help shape what needs to change. Your experience is your expertise.
The plan will be made with local groups, services, and people like you. Together, we can help more people be active and have the same opportunities.
The survey gives the option to respond as a local resident or through your professional or voluntary role in the city.
Tell us what you think
This survey closes on Monday 6 April.
What happens next
Your answers are anonymous, which means no one will know they are yours.
Results from the engagement survey will be analysed and used to inform the development of the strategy.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Bristol – they are very important.
