Arnall Drive land transfer consultation
As part of the Sport Asset Transfer Programme approved by Cabinet in October 2020, Parks and Green Spaces is planning to transfer the management and operation of the changing rooms and clubhouse at Arnall Drive to Henbury & Rockleaze Football Club.
The land ownership of a small parcel of land connected to this site needs to be transferred from Blaise Primary School to Bristol City Council Parks and Green Spaces. This is to enable us to grant a lease to Henbury & Rockleaze Football Club. The land that is proposed to be transferred is shown outlined in red in the aerial map below.

The change in ownership will not affect current use of, or access to, the land, nor will it have any negative impact on health or quality of life. Completing this lease will support improved health and wellbeing outcomes by allowing Henbury & Rockleaze Football Club to access significant external funding from the Football Foundation to enhance sporting provision and facilities. These are improvements that Bristol City Council would not be able to fund directly.
The land transfer has been agreed in principle, with Blaise Primary School confirming their approval and terms agreed with Bristol City Council. Before the transfer can be submitted to the Secretary of State for formal sign-off, a 6-week public consultation will be undertaken. This consultation is a statutory requirement and will ensure that stakeholders and local residents have an opportunity to comment on the proposed change in land ownership prior to the final decision being made.
