Crow Lane transport and high street improvements consultation
The Crow Lane proposals aim to:
- Make it more accessible for pedestrians and cyclists
- Make it easier and safer to cross the road
- Improve public spaces on the high street
The transport plans form part of the Bus Route 2 project, to improve the A37 and A4018 between Henbury and Stockwood, making bus journeys more reliable and routes safer and more accessible for people walking, wheeling and cycling.
The high street improvement proposals, such as new planting, bins and benches, are being delivered as part of the City Centre and High Streets Programme and are based on feedback from public engagement carried out in 2023 and 2024.
Funding
The Bus Route 2 project is funded by the UK government through the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement, secured by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.
The City Centre and High Streets Programme is funded through Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority’s Investment Fund.
Depending on the availability of funding, we may deliver the project over phases.

What happens next
We will use the feedback to this survey to update the designs for the scheme. Any proposals we decide to take forward will be voted on by the Transport & Connectivity Policy Committee. We may deliver the project over phases, depending on the availability of funding.
