Rosemary Lane engagement 2024

Archived
We asked about proposals to close a small section of Rosemary Lane between Robertson Road and the car park opposite the children's play area.

The closure would stop local through traffic and speeding traffic. It's only a short diversion via Fishponds Road and Robertson Road for those who use this road to access local areas.

If this part of Rosemary Lane is closed, the section without traffic could be used as community space next to the play area, for example, as a green space for people to walk or cycle and exercise, or as an extension to the play facilities.

Other benefits of this road closure could be:

  • a safer route to school for May Park Primary children and their families
  • improved local air quality
  • reduced noise pollution
