New site

This is our new Ask Bristol site. All of our open consultations and engagements are available. We'll be adding our closed consultations and engagements over the coming weeks.

We run a range of evidence-based programmes for parents of children aged 3 to 17 years old.

The programmes are for parents and carers of:

  • young children
  • children with challenging behaviour
  • children with anxiety
  • teenagers
  • teenagers with aggressive or abusive behaviour or who've been involved in the criminal justice system

These are run by the Family Help (formerly Families in Focus) Parenting Team Specialists who are all part of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies or CYP-IAPT.

This means we deliver accessible and evidence-based parenting services based on principles of participation and collaborative practice.

You're welcome to join programmes up to the second week, or third if the programme starts with a taster session.

If you're too late to join a programme that's already started, you can sign up for a future programme.

Complete this Family Help Parenting Group Programme Referral Form to add your details to:

  • the waiting list for any of the above programmes
    or
  • request contact from the Families in Focus Parenting Team about the most suitable parenting programme

Children's centres

Children's centres also offer parenting support for parents with children under 5 years old.
