For example and such as
Use 'for example' or 'such as'. Do not use 'e.g.'.
When to use 'for example' and when to use 'such as' is a bit of a grey area. Use your judgement to decide which sounds best.
'For example' tends to go at the start of a sentence. For example, 'an early years setting may get support from other professionals. For example, a portage specialist.'
'Such as' tends to go in the middle of a sentence after the noun. For example, 'everyone should eat fruit, such as apples and pears, to stay healthy.'
