Pitches for traders in Bristol’s city docks and parks

Pitches for traders in Bristol’s city docks and parks

Location of our pitches and how to apply for one

What we're looking for

We're looking for traders to run concession pitches in our city docks and parks. Concession pitches are areas where you can pay to set up your mobile business.

They're usually used by food businesses, but we're also looking for non-food traders.

Who should apply

We want to hear from you if you're:

  • a local trader with a mobile business
  • interested in trading around our city docks or parks

We particularly want to hear from traders who use healthy and seasonal produce and are willing to work towards a Bristol Eating Better award.

We're also interested in non-food businesses for some of our pitches, such as bike repair, flowers or fruit.

Anyone who trades from one of our pitches will have to:

  • commit to a three year contract
  • only trade within the trading hours for that pitch
  • remove their unit from the site outside of their trading hours

Location of our concession pitches

We have 10 available pitches around the city:

The only pitches with access to an electrical supply are:

  • Centre Promenade
  • Narrow Quay
  • Bristol Marina

All of the other pitches don't have electric, and we can’t allow running engines, so you'll need to have an alternative power source such as gas.

Cost

There's no set price for each pitch.

If you submit a tender bid you'll be asked to include the amount you're willing to pay per year for the use of that pitch. Your financial contribution will be looked at alongside your business offer.

How to apply

We're expecting to issue a tender in October.

If you're interested in applying for any of our pitches email concessions.enquiries@bristol.gov.uk to be placed on a mailing list.
