St George WestFacilities and activities
Local children and their communities were heavily involved in the design of the new playground, which includes a large bespoke lizard head structure with tunnel slides and timber climbing ribs.
There are also swings, a seesaw, toddler sand pit with mini slide and seats and bins.
The whole site is fenced to ensure it is dog free and includes areas of grass and planting as well as a large grass kick about area.
Access
St George Park is open 24 hours. There's a car park in Chalks Road and on-street parking along surrounding roads. Many major bus routes go past the park.
The play area is accessible from the tarmac paths in the park. It has a variety of level changes that makes access to some areas challenging for wheelchair users.
