Description
South Purdown play area will be situated towards the bottom end of Stoke Park, near Fairfield High School.

New play area: Autumn 2025
This is a new play area due for completion in late Autumn 2025.
Work is due to start 15 September 2025.
During construction, fencing will go up around the new play area site including the access area where a new path and entrance is being installed.
Once open, the play area will be dog free.
It will include the following equipment for children up to 12 years:
- Swings
- Tower with slide
- Wheelchair carousel
- Seesaw
- Spinner
- Springboards
- Explorer panels
Access
The play area will be fenced, and a tarmac path will be created to lead from Elmcroft Crescent allowing access for wheelchairs and buggies.
There is no onsite parking but residents and visitors can park on other nearby streets.
Access will be improved across South Purdown from Elmcroft Crescent to Sir John's Lane to Glenfrome Primary School.
This work will include new paths and steps and is due to start at the end of September 2025.
