There are ways you can get support to use public transport, driving and get help with travel costs.

Discounts on public transport
You may be able to get:
- free off-peak bus travel, apply for a disabled person’s bus pass
- 1/3 off rail for you and a friend, apply for a disabled persons railcard
Help with travel to NHS places
If you need to travel to hospital or other NHS place for treatments or tests, you might be able to claim a refund on your travel costs. Find out more about the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme on the NHS website.
Driving
You may be able to:
- pay less road tax, find out if you’re able to pay less road tax
- get a Blue Badge parking permit for your car, which allows you to park for free and stay longer in time limited car parks, apply for a Blue Badge

The City of Bristol College Travel Training Service is a travel training scheme for learners with additional support needs who wish to travel independently at the:

- South Bristol Skills Academy
