Local authority and local council

Avoid using 'local authority' or 'local council'. They're harder to understand than other terms and can be ambiguous. Use 'we', 'the council' or 'Bristol City Council' instead.

If you have to use 'local authority', write it in lowercase. Do not abbreviate it to 'LA'.
