Your role will be pivotal in shaping how the council leverages its renewable energy resources and works with partners to secure a clean, affordable energy supply.
As the Head of City Leap Client and Energy Service, you will be at the heart of Bristol's energy transformation.
You'll lead the council's client function for City Leap, acting as the primary interface with our joint venture partners and ensuring that the council's interests are represented with clarity, confidence and collaboration.
You'll oversee the council's Energy Supply Team, ensuring that our energy assets are managed effectively and that billing and procurement arrangements deliver both value for money and progress towards decarbonisation.
You'll work across council service areas to ensure alignment with City Leap's ambitions, and you'll be a key advocate for Bristol in national and international forums, promoting our leadership in climate and sustainability.
You'll also be responsible for programme assurance, governance, and performance monitoring, ensuring that City Leap delivers on its commitments and that the council remains an informed and proactive partner.
Leading two dedicated teams, you'll foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability.
Another vital skills that you already have and want to develop further is that elusive ability to know how to influence and impact for good. The role holder interacts with many council sub teams, the joint venture partner teams, your own team and a wide range of external shareholders. You need to know how to work to get the best outcomes, where to compromise, when to push hard, and when to be creative to get break through.
