Delay in publication of the 2020/21 audited accounts

Publication of Bristol City Council’s 2020-21 Statement of Accounts and Audit Opinion has been delayed. This is due to a national issue affecting all authorities with infrastructure assets.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has created a working group to examine potential options to resolve the situation. Consultation with local authorities will run through May and early June. Further steps will be dependent on this consultation.
