It covers a 3-year period, but will be reviewed annually to make sure we're responding to the emerging needs of victims and survivors of domestic abuse who access support in Bristol.
It provides an assessment of the needs of the population of Bristol City in relation to domestic abuse.
The strategy includes:
- statutory requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 set out in the Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) template
- the statutory duty for Tier 1 local authorities in relation to safe accommodation needs
- the level of need for support within safe accommodation in Bristol
- other needs of victims and survivors, wider than the safe accommodation support
