Get a grant or loan to improve your home energy efficiency
What help you can get to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
Energy loans for owner occupiers and private landlords
To get this type of energy loan you must:
- have enough equity in your property to cover the agreed loan
- agree to pay back the outstanding balance if you move home
The maximum loan available is £20,000. There’s a fixed interest rate of 4%.
Works under £7,500 require one estimate. Works above £7,500 will require two estimates.
Works to improve the energy efficiency of your home would normally compliment offers made by the Energy Service such as:
- loft and cavity wall insulation
- boiler replacements
- underfloor insulation
- first time central heating
- solar PV
More measures will become available during 2021 to 2022. For more information visit Energy Service Bristol.
These loans are only available from September 2020 to 31 March 2022.
