Find details of the Central library activities and events you can take part in.
Bristol Shares Reading
Tuesdays, 2pm to 3.30pm, Bristol Central Library, Public Meeting Room on the first floor.
A trained facilitator will read aloud great stories and poems. You can relax, listen and join in the conversation about what we have read.
All reading material is provided, as are tea and biscuits.

Children's story times and activities
Our activities for children aged from 0 to 17 years old include:
- baby bounce and rhyme sessions every Monday and Friday from 2pm to 2.30pm, every Tuesday from 10am to 10.30am, and every Saturday from 11.30am to 12.00pm
- pre-school children's story time, every Tuesday between 11.30am and 12.00pm
- regular events and activities during school summer holidays, from simple craft activities to author and illustrator visits

Senior moments group
This is a very informal social group for the over 60s. The group meets at 10.15, on the last Tuesday of the month, in the café area of the Central Library.
The group starts with coffee and then a guest speaker comes to talk or demonstrate something.
It costs £1.50 per person for each session, and this includes refreshments.
