If you have a baby, you can come to our baby bounce and rhyme sessions.
All of our libraries share nursery rhymes and songs with families and babies for around 30 minutes every week. See the timetable below.
What we do
One of our librarians leads the singing. Some libraries have rattles and musical instruments for the children.
We welcome older siblings too.
Come to a bounce and rhyme session
The sessions are free.
You don't need to book, unless you want to go to a session at St George Library. You must book at this library because demand for the sessions is high.
To book a session at St George ring or visit the library.
How bounce and rhyme helps
Singing rhymes with babies helps:
- language development
- bonding between parent or carer and child
- children's understanding of the world around them
For more information, and to join a baby bounce and rhyme session, contact your local library.
