TreeBristol: Sponsor a tree

TreeBristol: Sponsor a tree

We’re planting a new generation of trees and you can support us by sponsoring tree.

TreeBristol is a scheme for planting trees in Bristol’s open spaces, parks, grass verges and streets.

We plant trees in new sites across Bristol. We also replace lost street trees. Since 2005, we’ve planted thousands trees as part of TreeBristol.

The last order for trees being planted this season will be the end of December 2021, any trees bought after this date will be planted during November 2021 to March 2023.

Sponsor a tree

You can sponsor a tree that hasn’t been planted yet. This could be for a celebration such as a wedding or birthday, or for a living memorial.

It costs:

  • £295 for us to provide the tree, plant it and water it for two years to make sure it establishes

You can also buy a plaque for the tree with up to seven words on. This costs £25.

Help water our trees

We've had a record year of tree planting. For the first time we've planted over 1,000 street and park trees.

We've planted across the whole city with an emphasis on areas with low tree canopy cover and higher social deprivation, working with partners including:

  • Forest of Avon Trust
  • Forestry Commission
  • Trees for Cities
  • the Bristol Tree Forum

All the newly sponsored trees are on a two year watering and maintenance contract, but we’d like you to help the trees in your area establish.

If you help water the trees in periods of hot and dry weather it will help them grow strong, quickly.

A bucket or a watering can full of water, early in the morning or later on in the evening is ideal. You can even use your washing up or shower water.
