How we use social media for council services and campaigns.

Many of our services and campaigns use social media channels to communicate with residents, businesses and visitors.

Our external social media policy (pdf, 76KB) (opens new window) sets out:

  • our social media accounts and when they are monitored
  • what we'll do when you contact us on social media
  • our guidelines for acceptable conduct on social media
  • our guidelines for connections on social media
