Information about the Structures Fund and the applications we have submitted
What the Structures Fund is
On the 3 August we submitted 2 applications to the Department for Transport's (DfT) ‘Structures Fund' competition.
The proposals are for repairs to the ‘New Cut' river walls on the south bank of the River Avon next to to Coronation Road and essential repairs to bridges within the Cumberland Basin.
If the applications are successful they'll bring investment into these ageing assets and avoid costly and disruptive repair work in the future. The DfT expect to announce successful applications in Autumn 2026. Further details of the proposals can be found below.
