Our new grant programme supports Broadmead businesses and organisations to try out new services.
This is alongside ongoing transport changes and the transition to more pedestrian-friendly streets.
There are 2 types of grants:
- Extended opening hours grants (£1,500): funding for local businesses and organisations to trial extending their hours as the area changes. For example, a restaurant opening in the evening could trial opening in the afternoon.
- Pavement grants (up to £1,500): funding for Broadmead businesses and community hubs with a hospitality offer to take advantage of more pedestrian-friendly streets. For example, an interior café could use funding to purchase a pavement licence and outdoor café furniture.
The grants are part of a wider arts and culture activation programme being delivered alongside Bristol on the Move.
The programme will deliver a range of creative initiatives and opportunities designed to:
- promote Broadmead
- help local businesses and organisations navigate around potential disruption alongside transport changes
- benefit from the transition to a more pedestrian friendly future
