Report a change of tenancy, to make sure charges or discounts are correct.
You can report to us a change of a tenancy at a single property or tenancy changes at multiple properties.
Report a tenancy change for a single property
Use this form if you're a landlord reporting a change of tenant in one property.
If you're doing this form on behalf of a landlord, give their details, not yours.
Tell us about a change of tenancy
You'll need your:
- tenants' names
- tenancy dates
- moving dates
Report tenancy changes for multiple properties
If you manage several properties and need to report multiple tenancy changes at once, you should follow these 3 steps.
1: Complete the tenancy changes spreadsheet
Download and fill in:
spreadsheet Landlord Multiple Tenancy Changes Spreadsheet(25 KB) .
List all tenants moving in or out of your properties.
There's no limit to the number of tenancy changes you can report in one spreadsheet.
2: Name your file correctly
Name your spreadsheet using the format:
CompanyName_YYYYMMDD
Example:
If your company is AAA Maintenance and you're submitting on 19 January 2022, name the file:
AAAMaintenance_20220119
This format helps us identify your properties quickly and process your changes automatically.
3: Email us your spreadsheet
Email the completed spreadsheet as an attachment to: ct.landlords@bristol.gov.uk with the subject line: Change of Tenancy Report
This email address is only for landlords submitting a Change of Tenancy spreadsheet.
Do not use the email address for any other type of council tax enquiry, as they will not be acknowledged or responded to.
