Glasshouse space hire

Information about the Blaise Plant Nursery Glasshouse, how much it costs and how to book the space.

The Glasshouse is 130 square metres of covered area that is available for hire as a therapeutic, learning or event space. The space can be used for informal meetings, social meetups or team building activities.

This space can be booked by individuals or groups who want to run self-led sessions in a space close to nature. It's just a short walk from the beautiful Blaise Castle Estate woodland.

If you want to book the space for gardening related sessions, Blaise Plant Nursery can provide a wide range of materials and horticultural supplies at reasonable rates.

Hire periods and rates 

The Glasshouse space is available to hire Monday to Friday. 

A half day 3 hour slot is £100 plus VAT for:

  • 9am to 12pm
  • 1pm to 4pm

A full day 7 hour slot is £150 plus VAT for:

  • 9am to 4pm 

Facilities 

The facilities available are:

  • tables and chairs 
  • tea and coffee making facilities
  • fridge 
  • 4 wheelchair accessible working benches 
  • wifi 
  • power sockets 
  • heating 
  • horticultural supplies and tools available upon request, cost may apply 
  • free parking 
  • accessible toilets 
  • catering available upon request, enquire for prices

Using the space

To ensure the Glasshouse remains a pleasant and functional environment for all users, we ask that the space is left clean, tidy, and in the same condition in which it was found. This includes:

  • removing all personal belongings, equipment and materials
  • returning any furniture or fixtures to their original positions
  • disposing of any waste in the appropriate bins provided
  • cleaning any mess or spillages
  • reporting any accidental damage to staff as soon as possible

If you do not follow these rules, additional cleaning or repair charges may be applied. 

If you cause repeated or serious breaches, including not reporting damage, we may refuse future bookings or end your session straight away to protect the space and its operations.
