Tell us about a property that you think should have a licence, but doesn't
Some properties need to have a licence before the landlord can rent them out. For example, if the property is:
- in the wards of St George West or Eastville
- a House of Multiple Occupation(HMO) (GOV.UK)
- a smaller HMO in central Bristol: map showing licence areas for smaller HMOs (area marked in blue)
This is to make sure the property meets required standards of health, safety and welfare for the people living there.
You can check if a property has a licence on the register of licensed properties (spreadsheet, 878KB).
If you think a property should have a licence but doesn’t, report it to us. You can do this anonymously.
