Decision to proceed to referendum
The Hengrove and Whitchurch Park Neighbourhood Development Plan was submitted to Bristol City Council on 18 April 2018.
The plan was publicised by Bristol City Council with comments invited between 11 May and 22 June 2018. The plan and all representations received were passed to an independent examiner for consideration.
The examiner recommended that:
- the plan should be modified
- there should be a referendum to decide if the modified plan is used alongside the Bristol Local Plan when we make decisions on planning applications in Hengrove and Whitchurch Park
We modified the plan in line with the examiner's recommendations with the agreement of the Hengrove and Whitchurch Park Neighbourhood Planning Forum.
On 25 October 2018 we decided the modified plan meets the requirements for a neighbourhood development plan. You can read our statement explaining this decision (pdf, 791KB) (opens new window) .
