How to find trading opportunities, book long-term pitches and how you can talk to us about making an application.

St Nicholas Market, also known as St Nick's Market, is a council-run indoor and outdoor market located in the heart of Bristol's historic Old City. Established in 1743, it has a long-standing tradition of supporting local trade and community activity.
The market is home to Bristol's largest collection of independent retailers, offering a wide variety of goods and services including food, crafts, clothing, gifts, and specialist services. Visitors can explore a mix of permanent indoor units and outdoor stalls, set against a backdrop of historic architecture. In 2016, St Nicholas Market was named Britain's Best Large Indoor Market.
Current stall vacancies and trading opportunities
St Nicholas Markets offers numerous opportunities for retail, services and food traders – including long-term pitches and short-term or outdoor stalls.
We promote all our stall vacancies on this page, Instagram and Facebook.
If we do not have a current vacancy, you can join our waiting list and be informed of when indoor stalls become available.
We also welcome applications from prospective traders for our Christmas Market, Indies Market, Street Food Market which take place outdoors on Corn Street and Wine Street, as well as our Broadmead Market which offers longer-term outdoor pitches for those trading from their own trailers or gazebos.

Additionally, we're exploring ways to establish new trading spaces in and around St. Nicholas Market. We encourage inquiries from street food traders, especially those with a food trailer or truck, who are interested in pop-up opportunities.

When applying to one of our vacancies or to trade at one of our markets, we recommend providing as much detail about your business and products as possible including photos of your stock, and links to your website and/or social media.
For retail applications, we prefer goods that are produced locally or within Bristol.
