Contact your housing officer if:

  • you, or someone you live with would need help to safely leave your building in an emergency
  • you have concerns about safety risks in a communal area

Raise a concern about fire safety or structural safety in your building

If you have a concern or any questions about fire safety or structural safety in your building:

What happens after you raise a concern about fire or structural safety

The Building Safety team will get back to you within 5 working days, to let you know they've received your request.

We aim to fix the issue within 10 working days. If that's not possible, we'll let you know how long it'll take. We might ask you for more details to help look into the issue.

If your concern is urgent and puts people's health or safety at risk, we'll fix it as soon as possible.

Make a complaint

You can make a building safety complaint if you think:

  • we haven't listened or responded to your request or feedback
  • we're not meeting our responsibilities under the Building Safety Act 2022

We want to know if:

  • there's anything we're not doing to keep your building safe, so we can make changes as soon as possible
  • you feel we haven't listened to you, or responded to your request
