How to find out if your vehicle has been towed away and how you can get it back.
Call the Police on 101. They can tell you if your vehicle has been towed away, or if they think it’s been stolen.
How to get your vehicle back
If the police tell you that your vehicle has been towed, go to the vehicle pound with your ID, pay your charges and drive away.
What it will cost
You can’t get your vehicle back until you’ve paid these charges:

Vehicle release: £105

Penalty Charge Notice: £35 or £25

Storage: £12 per day
The cost of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) is different based on why you received it. Storage costs start at 12noon on the day after your vehicle was towed away.
You’ll need
Two different forms of identification (ID). One must show your name and current address, and the other must show that you’re the keeper/driver of the vehicle.
Where your vehicle is stored
Your vehicle will be stored in the vehicle pound at Whitchurch.
Western Distribution Centre, Whitchurch Lane, Bristol, BS14 0BH.

Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 5.15pm
Saturday: 8.00am to 11:30am

Bus services

Nearest railway station
Parson Street station is about two and a half miles away from the vehicle pound. The M1 metrobus service will take you from the train station to the pound.

Blue badge vehicles
Vehicles displaying a blue badge that are illegally parked aren’t removed to the vehicle pound, but they may be moved to a nearby legal parking place. You won’t be charged for the removal as long as your vehicle was clearly displaying a valid Blue Badge, but you may have to pay a PCN.
