Flexible working

We strive for an inclusive, healthy and motivated workforce. To help us achieve this, we offer a range of flexible working options.

We've adopted a hybrid way of working, mixing home and office working to help you balance your work and personal life. In this area of work, we recognise that team support is essential. We are one of the few local authorities to keep our offices open during the pandemic to allow our staff to de-brief and support each other.

As well as part time and job share opportunities, we can offer flexibility on your working hours and can discuss what works best for you at interview. For example, some of our Social Workers do a nine-day fortnight.
