We can support you to travel in a healthier, cheaper and greener way around your local neighbourhood and beyond.

We're offering £100 of First Bus tickets to each household in the liveable neighbourhood area. These will come to you by post.

You can also register for free travel offers and try out different ways to travel round Bristol. You could:

  • borrow a bike or e-bike for up to 4 weeks
  • have up to 3 cycle training sessions to boost your skills and confidence
  • join an accompanied cycle ride
  • have a go on a TIER e-scooter or e-bike with our vouchers
  • catch the bus with our free bus taster ticket
  • try the train with our free train taster ticket

Low income households

In addition to the £100 of First Bus tickets offered to each household in the liveable neighbourhood area, if you're on a low income you can apply for:

  • an extra £250 of First Bus tickets
  • a £150 voucher to buy a refurbished bike
  • a 12 month exemption for bus gates in the trial area, if you need to drive for work (this cannot be renewed)

You must receive either:

You'll need to have a short travel planning session with a member of the travel team, before you can get this extra help, by phone or online. We'll arrange this once you have completed the form.

If you live in Barton House (BS5 9SL), your household can get extra support as part of the East Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood trial scheme:

  • an extra £250 of First Bus tickets
  • a £150 voucher to buy a refurbished bike

Go Jauntly app

Go Jauntly is a free community-based walking and nature connection app. It details local trails for city residents looking for a quick dose of nature. Based on your location, it gives you simple photo guides, leading you around urban areas and surrounding green spaces and community gardens.

In Bristol, you can download all the local routes for free for offline use. This is good where phone coverage isn't so good, conserving battery and helping to save money on data usage.
