What Bristol Libraries Book Bingo is, what you can win, how to sign up and take part as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.

Bristol Libraries Book Bingo is a reading challenge for adults. You can win a £100 book token prize.

To enter:

  • sign up online or in a library
  • read books from the categories on your Bingo card, the categories are broad, so you can choose any book that fits that category, such as any non-fiction book for the 'non-fiction book' category
  • cross off each category yourself at home or visit a library to your bingo card stamped
  • return the card to us by Thursday 31 December 2026

We'll add you to the prize draw for the £100 book token prize.

How to sign up

To play you must be:

  • a member of Bristol Libraries
  • over the age of 16

If you aren't a library member, you can join online or at a Bristol library.

Sign up to Bristol Libraries Book Bingo

We'll send you an email to show that you have signed up to Bristol Libraries Book Bingo.

Show staff your Bristol Libraries Book Challenge sign up email and they'll give you a Bingo card.

Sign up at a Bristol library

You can also visit a library and ask staff to sign you up.

They'll fill in the online form for you and give you your Bingo card.

How to play

Each time you read or listen to a book that matches a box on your Bingo card, you mark it off.

You can:

  • cross it off yourself at home
  • ask staff to stamp it at a library

The book can be:

  • an eBook
  • a physical book
  • an audiobook

You can borrow free eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library.

How to return your card

To return your completed card and receive your Bristol Libraries Book Bingo badge, you can either:

  • use the online form to send us a scan or photo of your completed card
    • then show your confirmation email at a Bristol library to collect your badge
  • take your completed card to any Bristol Library to return it and receive your badge
