About the Bristol Active City Network

The Bristol Active City Network (BACN) is a group of people and organisations working together to make it easier for everyone in Bristol to be active and to reduce the unfair differences in physical activity levels across the city.

We want everyone in Bristol to have the support, chances, and surroundings they need to live active, healthy, and enjoyable lives.

By working together, we aim to change how people think and act, making it easier for them to be more active, enjoy sports and physical activity, and make it a regular part of their daily lives.

Our meetings

We meet to:

  • build relationships and make connections
  • align goals and resources
  • share what we are working on
  • learn from data, community experiences, and real-life stories

We also have:

  • training and workshops for example ‘An Introduction to Systems Leadership'
  • topic based discussions for example falls prevention or sharing more on relevant local initiatives

We meet every 12 weeks either online or in person at various community venues.
